MikroTik Certification Programs

The MikroTik Training Academy offers interested parties from all over the world the opportunity to gain experience and to find out about MikroTik products and technologies. The MikroTik training program consists of courses that are held worldwide by official MikroTik certified trainers. Participation in these courses therefore also offers the opportunity to receive professional certification in various MikroTik  product technologies. The various certification programs are listed as follows.

MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA): The MikroTik Certified Network Associate program includes knowledge of the RouterOS software and RouterBoard products and be able to connect the client to the Internet. This certification course will allow you to configure, manage and do basic troubleshooting of a MikroTik  router and provide basic services to clients.  The MTCNA is the prerequisite course for all other MikroTik certification exams.

MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer: (MTCRE): After completing the MTCNA, the next certification to consider is the MTCRE. This course is designed to cover static and dynamic routing, PTP addressing, VPNs and OSPF.

MikroTik Certified Internetworking Engineer: (MTCINE): The MikroTik Certified Internetworking Engineer certificate is aimed at network engineers and technicians who use the MikroTik RouterBoard technologies and RouterOS in situations such as corporate networks, WISPs and ISPs. The MTCINE is the most difficult certification course in the current lineup and it is the only advanced certification between all the MikroTik courses and requires as a pre-requisite both the MTCNA and the MTCRE certifications. the MTCINE covers BGP, MPLS and Traffic Engineering.

MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer: (MTCTCE): The MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer certification is designed to cover advanced knowledge of the RouterOS firewall and packet flow processes, QOS, DNS, DHCP and Web Proxy configurations. Upon completing this certification, the network engineer will be able to plan, implement, adjust and debug traffic control configurations implemented by RouterOS.

MikroTik Certified Switching Engineer: (MTCSWE): The MikroTik Certified Switching Engineer certification is designed for network engineers administering medium and large networks that wish to gain knowledge in the field of L2 switching. Upon completion of this certification, the network engineer will be able to understand switch chip and bridging features and implement the different types of frame switching, unicast, broadcast and multicast, as well as bonding, VLANs, STP, link aggregation and isolation, security and monitoring.

MikroTik Certified Security Engineer: (MTCSE): The MikroTik Security Engineering certification is designed for network engineers who deploy and maintain security protocols for MikroTik device based networks. This certification covers topics such as the firewall, OSI layer attacks, cryptography, router security, and secure tunnels.

MikroTik Certified Internet Protocol v6 Engineer: (MTCIPv6E): The MikroTik Certified IPv6 Engineering certification is designed to teach engineers how to design, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot an IPv6 network. Topics for this certification include a deep dive into the IPv6 protocol and packet, NDP, firewall , IPsec and transition mechanisms for IPv6.

MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer: (MTCUME): The MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer certification is designed to teach engineers how to securely manage a large scale RouterOS based network with centralized user management. Topics for this course include PPP and PPTP, L2TP, PPPoE, Bridging with L2TP and EoIP,VPLS, BCP, Multilink and MLPPP.

MikroTik Certified Enterprise Wireless Engineer (MTCEWE): The MikroTik Certified Enterprise Wireless Engineer Certification is designed to teach engineers how to build, test, deploy and troubleshoot major RouterOS Enterprise WiFi features, how WiFi works and how to implement CAPsMAN into WiFi setups.

MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer: (MTCEWE): The MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer Certification is designed to teach engineers how to build, test, deploy and troubleshoot advanced wireless features fora RouterOS based network. Topics for this certification include WDS and Mesh Networks, Wireless Bridging, Nstreme Protocol and the Nv2 Protocol.
