It exists to foster a community of IT engineers who exchange ideas, best practices and support for designing, implementing, deploying and troubleshooting networks built using Mikrotik hardware and software. About the Editor
I've been working in networking since 1998 — long enough to have configured more routers than I can count, watched technologies come and go, and developed a deep appreciation for platforms that give engineers real control without requiring an enterprise budget.
MikroTik is that platform for me. RouterOS is one of the most capable networking operating systems available at any price point — but the learning and support resources have never matched the quality of the platform itself. Forums are scattered, documentation is technically complete but thin on practical examples, and finding reliable answers to real-world problems takes longer than it should.
I started Mikrotik Users to fix that.
I currently hold my MTCNA and am actively working toward my MTCRE,
MTCINE, and MCT (MikroTik Certified Trainer) certifications. This site is
part of that journey — building the resource I wish had existed when I
was first learning RouterOS.
